Jay Chou (January 18, 1979 -) is a Chinese Taiwanese male singer, musician, actor, director, screenwriter, and the most revolutionary singer-songwriter in the Asian pop music scene.
Jay Chou was born in New Taipei City, Taiwan Province, and his ancestral home is Yongchun County, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. When he was 4 years old, his mother Ye Huimei sent him to Tamkang Shanye Kindergarten Music Class to learn piano. When he was in the second grade of junior high school, his parents divorced due to personality differences, and Jay Chou was raised by his mother Ye Huimei. During the high school entrance examination, he was not admitted to an ordinary high school. In the same year, he was admitted to the first music class of Tamkang Middle School because he was good at piano. After graduating from high school, I applied for the music department of Taipei University twice but was not admitted, so I started working in a restaurant.
In September 1997, with the encouragement of his mother, Jay Chou signed up to participate in the entertainment program "Super Rookie King" on Taipei Star TV, and invited people to sing his own song "Dreams Have Wings" on the program. When the host Wu Zongxian saw the score of this song, he invited Jay Chou to work as a music assistant at Alfa Music Company. In 1998, he composed the song "Tears Know". The song was withdrawn after the company gave it to Andy Lau. The songs "Nunchaku" and "Ninja" written for Zhang Huimei were also withdrawn.
I like Jay Chou because when I was very young, my brother liked his songs very much, and then I listened to many of his songs, so I gradually fell in love with Jay Chou's songs.
